**Q: Is the cord the one we use for the controllers?**
A: yes it's the same cord  used for PS3 controllers. and yes product works on PS3 fine. just can't use it on PS4 though

**Q: Does it work for PS4?**
A: No PS4 doesn't support the PS2 memory data

**Q: is this device wireless connected to the ps3 console?**
A: no. it takes the same type of USB cable, as the ps3 controller.

**Q: Can I use it to back up my save data to a computer?**
A: yes. although, it's rather difficult. it's better to save it to the ps3, then copy that to a thumb drive. which, you can save to you computer (for back-up). it's really difficult, if you're trying to convert files for an emulator though.

Worked perfectly with no issues, right out of the box. Was concerned when the writing on the packaging was lacking in English text but there were no complications. Transferring data from both PS2 and PS1 memory cards to my PS3 was smooth with no hang-ups. It was affordable and a sturdy device. Unobtrusive as it doesn't occupy much space at all. (It's just bigger than a PS2 memory card) Used it with a PS3 slim 160GB 4th Generation model.
