One is that it will need to be replaced more often because it will wear out faster, and two it will not filter as much particulate as a thicker filter, but in turn your AC won't have to work as hard to cool your vehicle and it will likely cool factor. When energy efficiency is your primary concern, this filter material is king.To get it to work better you can put a few drops of essential oils on it and work it into the filter. If you work it around well you'll actually catch more particulate matter in the oil and it will filter better and it will be a little less efficient but not as much as a big thick filter, plus you'll get a nice smell in the cabin. Don't put too much or get a scent that is too strong because it will disperse throughout the RV. This will also help the filter from getting brittle and crumbly especially in high heat situations.A second tip you can try is to double up the filter if you feel it isn't filtering enough, but I stick with the 1/4 inch stuff and change it out more often.Hope this helped! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Cut to fit, great! *by C***Y on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2024* 1000% best one to buy.
