This is GROUND Assam, often known as Mangalam Assam. It's not wrong as some other sophisticated tea drinkers reviewers say (sarcasm implied). They just have a limited experience with teas, obviously. So, what you will get here is small round pellets like medium ground coffee. This gives the Assam a malty and strong flavor and should be served with milk. You can also brew this for less time then other black teas because of the greater surface area. You can also make iced tea with this, but it will be strong and slightly bitter. If you're looking for black tea served hot without milk, then pick another brand that is whole leaf.
