After removing the tailgate off the hinge, this one in my hand was slightly too big. So I was initially going to shave off the edges but decided against it. Then I placed it on the hinge hole and hammered it lightly in thereby it molded itself into the space. The hinge on truck side fit right in snuggly and tailgate working again as new.Other parts in this kit will work for the passenger side too perhaps with some modifications.
