Bob Smith adhesives are first-rate and this slightly flexible Foam Cure adhesive works better than many other popular brands I have tried. For years, I have used Foam Cure primarily for building foam radio-controlled model airplanes. There are many types of glues commonly used on these foamies (epoxy, instant CA glues, Gorilla Glue, white glues, & others). There is also considerable debate over which foam adhesive works best. However, in my considerable experience (former engineer in the RC industry), none work better overall than Foam Cure. Nearly all foam materials are sensitive to the solvents often found in common adhesives (can dissolve the foam material). Also, typical instant CA glues (cyanoacrylate adhesives) generate considerable heat while curing. This catalytic reaction melts the foam, weakens the joint and it fails. This problem increases when CA accelerators are used. Therefore, special foam-safe CA adhesives & accelerators are required to avoid this problem. In contrast, Foam Cure chemistry is formulated specifically for foam and can be successfully used on virtually all common foam materials. I used this glue to put together my DIY 4 foot wingspan DHC Beaver. I've used many glues in the past, but this glue is my favorite. I don't know how I managed building planes without it in the past.
