Review: Grey Paper is the Way to Go - Mixing paints on a grey paper gives a better representation of colour than if you mix on a white background. I like this item and I especially like that it's not shaped like a palette. ## Features - Smooth mixing surface against grey paper for a neutral back drop on which to view colors - When using a toned painting support, mixed colors appear on the palette as they will in the painting - Includes color mixing guide from professional water-media painter - International products have separate terms, are sold from abroad and may differ from local products, including fit, age ratings, and language of product, labeling or instructions. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B001DMMTLC | | Best Sellers Rank | 356,142 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 375 in Palettes | | Brand | Jack Richeson | | Brand Name | Jack Richeson | | Colour | Gray | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,163 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00717304116268 | | Item Dimensions L x W | 30.5L x 22.9W centimetres | | Item Weight | 0.01 Ounces | | Manufacturer | Jack Richeson | | Manufacturer Part Number | 100280 | | Material | Paper | | Material Type | Paper | | Model Number | 100280 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Paper Dimensions | 9 x 12 inches | | Paper Finish | Smooth | | Paper Weight | 35 | | Paper finish | Smooth | | Product dimensions | 30.5L x 22.9W centimetres | | Recommended Uses For Product | Mixing colors for painting | | Sheet Count | 50 | | Style | loose-sheets | | Target Audience | unisex-adult | | UPC | 717304116268 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Jack Richeson - **Colour:** Gray - **Material:** Paper - **Paper Dimensions:** 9 x 12 inches - **Paper finish:** Smooth ## Images ![Jack Richeson Grey Matters Paper Palette (50 Sheets), 9" x 12" Paper for Paint Mixing - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91J0F+9ZTDL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: are these reusable, can be clean clear?** A: I have only used acrylic paint on these and no, they are not reusable. It is thin paper that you use and dispose. **Q: Color aside, how does this product hold up in comparison to Strathmore's and/or Canson's palette paper?** A: I haven't tried Strathmore and Canson. Grey Matters paper palette is very good. Holds up super well but I can't compare it to others. One sheet of the Grey Matters will last me a long time. Sometimes weeks. I milk it because I can. It's strong. Doesn't fall apart. Sorry I can't be of more help. **Q: How wide is the thumb hole?** A: There is no hole for your thumb. Because I hate cleaning my palette, I tape these sheets to my standard palette either one with a hole or a glass square like I have. Then, when through for the day, you can simply remove the sheet and put it aside if you are using oil paint or dispose of it. **Q: Does the pad have a thumb hole?** A: No, the pads are solid.I shopped around and found a plywood pallet that is rectangular and about the right size. Using small clips you can attach a sheet, locate and cut a thumb hole and be done with scraping. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Grey Paper is the Way to Go *by G***Y on 20 October 2025* Mixing paints on a grey paper gives a better representation of colour than if you mix on a white background.
