CV96 Universal Constant Velocity Gaiter

I've been using these for years in conjunction with thecv cone. Saves having to take the CV joint off the driveshaft. That can be a pig of a job if the circlip snaps and you don't have a spare one. When fitting the CV boot use plenty of silicone spray to lubricate and turn boot inside out slide boot up the cone and then over the end of cone turn boot back to normal then clean up pack with grease and fit the clips. The only thing I would say is that you need quite strong hands sliding the boot up the cone. These CV boots last quite well a couple of years of doing high mileage in the past.

Cv boot is flexible enough to be used with a stretching cone. The clips that come with the boot however are not good at all.

This product fits and works perfectly on R50 / R52 / R53 MINI's - those are the first iteration of the BMW MINI. As per the instructions on the box, these cars have a Trilobe style boot so you'll need to keep the last 10-15mm of the old boot, then slide this one over the top and clamp into position. Installation is easy with a cone tool, the boot stretches and fits over the CV joint beautifully. The boot is made of good quality rubber, comes with a grease pack and new jubilee clips. So far it's doing a very good job protecting one of the inner CV joints on my R52 MINI Cooper S convertible. Would recommend for these cars.

Nice & easy to fit if you also buy the fitting cone, makes replacing a CV boot much easier. It comes with CV boot clips that are best fitted with the purpose made tool.

This item wasn't suitable for an Audi A4 B7

Didn't dislike nothing really

The item sent was universal but did not say stretchy on the box or instructions so I sent it back I don't think it would have worked with a fitting cone as didn't seem flexible enough better to buy from a local auto factor
