People often mistake Independence Inn's manager, headstrong single mom Lorelai Gilmore, and her equally willful teenage daughter, Rory, for sisters. Lorelai and Rory cope with the same emotional ups and downs, including Lorelai's overbearing, old-money parents and the joys and frustrations of the male gender. This heartfelt, humorous drama appeals to young and old alike with its blend of traditional family issues and hip, contemporary attitude. Review: My Absolute Favorite - I love this show as much as I love chocolate (which is saying a lot). It makes you laugh, it makes you cry and you can really connect with the characters. I recomend this for any grandmother, mother or daughter because this show is great for any age. although, I do have to warn you that it may cause a sudden urge to drink coffee. I think that what I love the most about this show is all of the refernces that they make in every episode. This show is so perfectly put together that I don't know how it could be any better. Review: One of the BEST shows on TV! - LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! MY daughter introduced me to the show in the 4th season, and honestly I would watch it, but was never really into it. I bought her the Season 1-6 boxed set for her birthday. The entire family sat down to watch the 1st disk with her. We all became instantly addicted! (Including my husband!) He loves the dialog and pop culure references! The show is well written, quick witted, funny, heartwarming, and ADDICTING! Be ready to watch disk after disk. It took us only a couple of weeks to watch all 6 seasons! ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Contributor | Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 23 Reviews | | Format | Box set, Color, Multiple Formats, NTSC | | Genre | Drama, Kids & Family | | Language | English | | Number Of Discs | 36 | ## Product Details - **Genre:** Drama, Kids & Family - **Format:** Box set, Color, Multiple Formats, NTSC - **Contributor:** Alexis Bledel, Lauren Graham - **Language:** English - **Number Of Discs:** 36 ## Images ![Gilmore Girls - The Complete First Six Seasons - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/412H4JJK0JL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My Absolute Favorite *by F***C on November 9, 2012* I love this show as much as I love chocolate (which is saying a lot). Unfortunately i have missed on all the episodes on the 6th DVD of the 5th season and hence lost track of the events in the series. I hope this can be rectified from your side in a certain way, as I have really lost track of events, and now the rest of the series does not fall in place because of those missing episodes on the 6th DVD of the 5th season. I hope this can be rectified. Looking forward to a feedback.
