I wouldn't recommend pebbles as the holes in the lid are quite large about an inch or slightly large …… the lid is about 2 foot across so you should get away with a single bag of stones / large pebbles available from most DIY stores. **Q: How many litres of water will it hold** A: Mine held 10 buckets of 10 litres per bucket **Q: I have a 90kg granite sphere water feature. Will this resevoir be strong enough to hold it? With it being plastic, won’t it just bend in the middle?** A: I have a heavy stone pot on mine 700 mm high the bottom part is fine with the weight but the top is brittle, I put PC of mild steel under feature for extra support, **Q: Is it advisable to cover the lid with large stones because how does the water go back in?** A: The water returns through 10 or 12 holes in the lid. However, I needn’t have worries as the quality is outstanding and more than enough for what we needed. Also less than half of the price compared to the others which had metal grids.One slight point, there are no notches for the pump cables. (as this has just arrived i cannot give a score/feedback for 'how easy to install' For value ive given it a 4stars this is only because at this moment in time its over what i wanted to spend on an item like this, but its worth the money.
