It arrived early. The batteries are included. Easy to use and you can test fire the alarm. The alarm is loud enough to hear in your house. Easy to install under the kitchen for leak detection. We had our whole house repiped last week. Last year we had a huge water leak in the wall and had to have the entire kitchen replaced. We have severe plumbing trauma and we are terrified of water leaks- As a result I bought these handy little guys. Maybe I thought it into existence but the morning after we put them out (and used our washing machine for the first time) the alarm went off, loud. I knew immediately what it was and we came to find our entire laundry area flooded because the plumbers forgot to hook up the drain line from the washing machine. Had I not had one of these little guys my machine would have dumped countless more gallons of water in the rinse cycle 🫠. All this to say, it works, buy it and put it under every water hookup in the house.
