I primarily bought it to work on my truck at night. My old 450 lumen Milwaukee only provides me about four hours of light on low flood mode after around 8 years, so I was hoping for one to at least be able to swap out when I run out of light in the far pricier headlamp. This Blukar light has exceeded my expectations.Since I full-time RV, I carefully read reviews here for many headlamps. I chose this one to try out because it got great reviews. Also, I need one that provides quite a bit of power on flood mode and casts a wide light. This one casts a 120-degree flood mode, as opposed to a bit narrower flood on their other model. I was less concerned with the spotlight mode because I have a Husky flashlight that does a great job of casting quite a bit of light hundreds of feet down a trail.It turns out that the Blukar does both tasks very well. I can trail run at night and see hundreds of feet down the trail and also get a very strong and wide floodlight for working on my truck.I know that I can at least get two hours on either flood or spot mode on high intensity. I imagine I can get quite a bit more.There are only two cons. The light output is a bit on the bluish side but not too much so. Also, the sensor button takes a few times trying to get out of hands-free mode. I trip it all the time, so I have to ensure it is out of that mode. These are cheap enough that I don't mind them getting oily from repair work. The red mode is nice for stealth camping, but I prefer being in the woods.This is an excellent headlamp set that will serve many needs.Update: I was working on my truck for eight hours, much of it after daylight. One of these headlamps lasted for about four hours of mostly continuous use on high. I just swapped in the second one and put the depleted light on the charger. The light was plenty bright, and I was surprised to find the spotlight was my preferred working mode with another work light remaining stationary attached to the underside of the hood with a magnet. This proved a much brighter combination than the nearing decade-old Milwaukee at a really great price point. The spotlight mode is sufficiently wide for night-time repair work paired with a good work light.I would love to see this company make an obviously bit more expensive light with a magnet at the back that you could stick on a metal surface in an emergency, and I might just retire the pricier Milwaukee. They are comfortable to wear. They are very bright. You can select a very bright narrow beam, or a less bright wide beam. I think that both beams can be dimmed.
