Review: BEST PLAYER YOU CAN BUY FOR THE MONEY! - I have had several mp3 players but this is the best one yet, especially for the price. I had purchased two of them now and these players have a very fast response to selections made. Navigation is much easier than other players that cost me more. The sound EQ is excellent and the battery life is great unless you use Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connects fast and easy. However, these smaller size players have smaller batteries than the older mp3 players so it does run down the battery faster. I also like having all the features that are packed into this small player. It has a screen large enough and bright enough that I can see it outdoors without my glasses. The buttons are a little close together but work every time unlike some of the older players that I had to press several times to use a function. I like it because it is so compact and has the clip to hang it anywhere. Even the wired ear buds are not that bad. I have other wired ear buds that I prefer but these have the best sound I've ever got free with a player. I never use the radio but it works fine. I have my own playlists on a 64 Gb. mini SD card installed in both of these players and it is much easier to navigate my playlists than on any other players I have owned. So, I highly recommend these players unless you use Bluetooth a lot. In that case I would recommend something with a larger battery.
Review: It's started creating static in songs that were perfect before - Edit: My review (below) was initially only 2 stars but there's a new development that's made me change it to only one star. It's about a year and a half old and it's started creating static in songs that were initially perfect. The static is there whether I'm using wired earbuds or bluetooth. And the number of songs that it's happening to is increasing so the player is now in the trash. --- Original review: I like the fact that this player has so many buttons; navigation is simple. Bluetooth works great. But it's ridiculously complex to do basic stuff like pause or power off or change the volume. For example, if you're listening to music and the screen has gone black like it should, then: --to pause play, you have to hit the pause button, which wakes it up and shows the date/time screen, then you have to hit it again, which shows you the "playing now" screen, then you have to hit it again to pause it. -- there is an actual on/off button, but when it's playing and the screen has gone black, to turn it off you have to hit a button (any button) to get the date/time screen, hit it again to get to the "playing now" screen, then hit the power button to turn it off. It's a DEDICATED on/off button, but it takes three clicks to turn it off! -- to change volume is the worst. When it's playing and the screen is black, hit any button to get to the date/time screen, then any button to get to the "playing now" screen, then hit one of the volume buttons to show the volume slider screen. This DOESN'T change the volume! THEN you have to hit the volume button again to change the volume. It's a DEDICATED volume button but it still takes 4 clicks to change the volume! If by chance you've never used an MP3 player in your life, then to compare this to my Sandisk Clip... To pause play, no matter what, you hit the pause button one time and it stops. To turn it off, you hold down the play button for 2 seconds and it turns off. The volume buttons you have to hit twice: once to wake it up and then again to change the volume. (Yeah, I wanted to buy another Sandisk Clip but couldn't find any.)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Most Bang For Your Buck!
*by J***. on September 27, 2025*

You just can't beat this MP3 Player's features for the price. I previously had a Victure MP3 player and it lasted 6 years of daily play and wear and tear. The Yoton is similar aesthetically. You have the same button functionality. Power On/Off, Volume Up/Down, and buttons on the front that allow you to play/pause, Go back to start (no rewind search), Go to next track (no fast forward search). There is also a menu button and return button. I want to applaud the pleasing click and durability of the buttons. My previous model did not have this and this is an upgrade. The buttons make the operation of the MP3 player easy to use. The MP3 player has the all-important clip. The device is small enough, and light enough, that you can clip it to your shirt, shorts/pants, or even a bag on the outside to it is easy to find and make adjustments. It is so light, that you might accidentally leave it connected to an article of clothing after a dog walk or workout. The Bluetooth is greatly improved over my previous model. I primarily use three devices to connect with Bluetooth. Once connected, they re-connect seamlessly. The only flaw with the Bluetooth is that when you power on the device, the Bluetooth starts up immediately. This is convenient for those who only use Bluetooth devices. Pro tip: If you didn't know, using wired headphones or a wired connection to a speaker will make your device's power last so much longer. I don't remember the details, but I can confirm the validity of this. I have used the device daily for a morning 45 minute walk, listen during feeding my dog and making breakfast, commute to work, and sometimes at work for longer than half my shift, and the commute home. So far, the device has never gotten even close to being out of power with wired headphones. I have even gone a few days with the same use and the only reason I charged it was to load music. 2nd Pro Tip: Wired headphones sound better on this device than the previous model. With Bluetooth I listen at 25/31 and when using wired headphones I listen at 8/31. The sound is far more robust than the previous model and you still get the ability to adjust the EQ to preferred levels. The display is different than the previous model and I needed time to adjust. Eventually the difference did not matter. You get a notification that the sim card is inserted, Bluetooth is connected, the power level, the EQ setting, track #/# of tracks, Clip art, whether you are playing straight, shuffle (yes it is there), or repeat, Track Name, time signature and length of song, and indicators for Back, Play, and Forward. When you power on you get a standard home screen with product name and customer service pledge. Getting to the shuffle takes some practice, but once you find it, it works well. The other main upgrade to this model is the inclusion of the sim card that gives you an amazing amount of space. However, I suggest not trying to load it to the hilt. I tried that and it affected the functionality of the device and it eventually froze up. I had a couple of frustrating days of trying to troubleshoot the device with customer service through email only. I was not savy enough to upgrade the firmware, but the manufacturer sent me a new device. I have been more conservative with the amount of music I have loaded on to the device since then. I still have 3 times the amount of music loaded that the previous model could hold without a sim card and it is not even halfway full. You can tinker with what works for you. Overall, it has been an incredible upgrade and I got it for less than $30. I have paid more and gotten less on fancier devices. The size, sound, bluetooth, and storage makes this an unbeatable option. If you want your music, audiobooks, podcast, etc. without interrupting adds, notifications, etc. This is a great choice and absolutely the most bang for your buck! The longer I used it, the more I came to fully appreciate it. I have used it for three months solid daily. I will more than likely buy several more to load for specific playlists, genre, etc. I am very happy with this product and recommend it for the value and quality I have enjoyed all summer.
