I really do think the SNS travel kettle is worth more than the double the price you'll pay versus a Smokey Joe. Grate is hinged to let you add more fuel if needed. And for good measure it offers a slow and sear charcoal tray. I love it. BUT!! They can improve in one area. Hardware to put it together and instructions are very clear. Everything went smooth till i got to the kettle legs. Trying to hold the leg brace, nut and bolt was extremely cumbersome. The nut should be fixed to the chasis for ease of inserting the bolt. SnS fixes that, it would be a perfect grill. Its still very close.
