I had seen and understood the mechanism of the locking system and I am damn sure this thing should not have any stucking problems as mentioned in other reviews, unless it is a manufacturing defect. Every number dial has notch corresponding to the number of your unlocking pin. For eg if ur pin is 3456 then the dial no 1 will have a notch under the number 3, dial no 2 will have notch under no 4.. and so on. So if all the 4 notches are aligned in the proper position it will allow the locking shaft to come out. Such an easy mechanism, how can such mechanism would experience any stucking issues even after prolong usage. I would recommend to straight away buy this product if u need it, without any further hesitation. There are 4 dials from 1 to 6 numbers which give a pretty good probability of 1 in 1296 combinations. Regarding the product build quality, it is made up of a very strong metal. To protect it from rust, avoid keeping it under harsh conditions. However as the product description mentions that this cannot be cut, this is not the case. Every material in this world can be cut. But this thing is difficult to cut, it would require very strong tools and a great amount of time to cut it, and verily it will make loud noises if somebody tries to cut this lock. That's Why I would recommend not to use this to lock helmet or any other thing in secluded and isolated places, and for a long time like more than 1 hour. Do not rely on this product to lock your helmet to bike overnight, when all world is sleeping. This product is meant to secure your helmet to bike when it is difficult for you to carry it with you, for eg while visiting malls or going for movie, parking under office and college institutions etc., where there is somebody, like watchman, guard or etc appointed to look and guard the parking area. A little bit of common sense is also required in life, LOL. Review: Simple Lock, Primarily for Physical Tethering! - Purchased this product to lock my kids cycle to our 2 wheeler. We didn't need an expensive and rugged lock as this is not for outdoor use. This was only to keep the cycle in place where its parked. The Number Lock works as it should. The cable is surprising made if good quality and by itself its strong. The lock head though is fully plastic including the lock teeth. Was atlest expecting this to be made of metal. Overall, I think it will last, if used carefully and accidentally forcing the lock may break the lock teeth. Let's see how long this will last if used on a daily basis.
