As for quality it is less than some of the same priced japan indicators. I believe this is a German made indicator. Good for machine setups or noncritical measuring. Costing more than double of some of the throw away indicators it is not a rare bargain. desertcart's own premium brass indicator falls into that category. (see my review else where.) I would have to say that a budget minded person can get a better indicator for less money else wheres. Review: Missing Backplate Attachment - Indicator works fine, but they don't come with any attachments to mount on a stand. Makes them mostly useless unless you can adapt them with others you own.
