About Aarti/ Arti: Panati means mud diya derived from south India. These were usually lit during the Dasara festival. Just like Copper, Brass and silver, mud is also considered to be auspicious. In India lamp are lit daily twice, once in morning and in the evening signifying the ignorance of darkness. But Dasara being the most important among all is popular for lighting diya and keeping it burning continuously for ten days. It is said that Pandavas destroyed Kauravas stating victory over evil. On other hand it is said Goddess Durga won over the asur Mahishasur. With this message we Indians celebrate burning diyas, the so called Panati. Why buy this product: DMI’s Dasara Panti is made from pure brass (60-65% Copper) material giving it a long lasting finish. This lamp is available with one and two faces. The advantage of double faced diya, is at the time of Dasara (Dassera) festival, when we need to keep it burning continuously for ten days. Either one of two wicks can light without interruption. The modernised touch of the diya completes its ravishing look.
