DO NOT USE YOUR FINGERS or you will lose them) The blades themselves arent as flexible as the disposables, which is good for paper crafting and cutting rounded corners. They hold an edge well when cutting through heavy cardstock and paperboard. I've used a single blade for over 50 long cuts and its just now showing signs of dulling. At this rate it will take me 10 years to go through the entire box! Quick word of advice... *These blades are SHARP! I don't mean shaving sharp, I mean SHARP. I had my ring finger hanging out over the straight edge guide I was using to cut cardboard with. I am now missing the corner of my ring finger AND fingernail. Didn't even feel it til I saw it on the ground. Treat these with caution at all times! Save the foil in came in for when you're done with the blade so you can dispose of them safely (use a LOT of tape to wrap it, dont want the garbage men getting cut). At this price its a definite GREAT buy! An essential tool for paper crafts and scrapbooking. Review: Aside from the traditional use of this item, I use it a lot in place of regular blades and Xactos for cutting. Great for cutting paper, foam, etc. If you are designer or crafty person, I recommend using these since they are cheaper than replacing Xacto blades over and over.
