I have had this unboxed for barely 30 minutes and am already in love with it. It was super easy to plug-n-play and use the built in functions immediately. I have used old style, full-length keyboards for decades and was extremely hesitant to try out a mechanical keyboard, especially because of the noise I had heard from seeing video reviews and how unsure I was if I could deal with the loss of full buttonology. One major reason I looked into one of this type/size was that I realized one of the main reasons I have issues with soreness and pain in my left shoulder, neck, and upper arm is due to how I would position my left hand and tilt the keyboard in order to use the traditional movement keys WASX on a full sized keyboard for gaming. With this one, my arm is now in a natural resting position at 90 degrees against my side, negating the angular stress on all those muscle groups, and when I want to do some typing while gaming, I don't have to stretch across the board to my left as much with my right hand to get to home keys. Additionally, one big assumption killer was that, even though the size is cut down by a ton from a full-sized keyboard, the muscle memory transition to the slightly more compacted keys took hardly any time at all when typing with home keys. I type about 100 WPM, so I assumed I'd have a super difficult time with this aspect of the transition, but the spacing of keys doesn't have a huge difference of feel. The other big plus is that the noise level isn't huge on key press when gaming, and is not bothersome when typing; it's not that high pitched clickity clack you might get from many other types, rather a dull, thud-like sound. Now add in the amazing painted design (especially if you like Japanese wood block print/art), and the colored light functions, which mind you are accessible by using the keyboard and the built in mini screen aka not requiring you to download software, as well as the pre-programmed FN + functions that replace the buttons you lost from a full sized keyboard, and this thing is just a dream. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to one and all, especially old folks like me that are afraid to make that leap into transitioning to a mechanical style board. P.S.: If you're looking for actual dimensions of the keyboard itself, which are not on this desertcart page nor on the company's item page, they are approximately as follows: 12.75"x5.75"x1.375"-0.875" (the last number is the height, without the height extenders being used, at the top of the keyboard vs. at the bottom. it slopes upward towards the back) Review: Best keyboard! - My so loves this keyboard. I heard him encouraging friends to purchase because it takes the gaming experience to another level! He loves playing xbox games using the features on this keyboard aswell as doing other work! Definitely worth the wait...looks cool also with the different patterns and effects! ## Features - 75% keyboard with color multimedia display for enhanced visual experience - Gasket mount design, hot-swappable and wired connection for greater flexibility - Pre-lubricated stabilizers and compatible with Mac and Windows for better performance ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0C9ZJHQHM | | Additional Features | Hot-Swappable | | Antenna Location | Gaming | | Best Sellers Rank | #42,943 in Computers ( See Top 100 in Computers ) #1,032 in Computer Keyboards | | Brand | Womier | | Built-In Media | USB Cable | | Button Quantity | 82 | | Color | black / black | | Compatible Devices | Computer (Desktop/Laptop), Tablet | | Compatible Operating System Family | Windows | | Compatible Tablet Computer Models | AAUB P30 | | Compatible devices | Computer (Desktop/Laptop), Tablet | | Connectivity Technology | USB-C | | Connectivity technology | USB-C | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,527 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Metal | | External Testing Certification | A | | Global Trade Identification Number | 06979189090017 | | Hand Orientation | Right | | Keyboard Backlighting Color Support | RGB | | Keyboard Description | Mechanical | | Keyboard Layout | QWERTY | | Keyboard description | Mechanical | | Manufacturer | XVX | | Mfr Part Number | SK80 75% Gaming Keyboard | | Model Number | S-K80 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Keys | 82 | | Power Source | USB power | | Recommended uses for product | Gaming | | Special features | Hot-Swappable | | Style Name | Modern | | Switch Type | Mechanical | | Theme | Rainbow | | Unit Count | 1.0 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Womier - **Compatible devices:** Computer (Desktop/Laptop), Tablet - **Connectivity technology:** USB-C - **Keyboard description:** Mechanical - **Recommended uses for product:** Gaming ## Images ![Xvx Womier S-K80 75% Color Multimedia Display Keyboard, Mechanical Gaming Hot Swappable Rgb Custom Keyboard Board Mount, Stabilizer - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71hdClN+RtL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: did anyone recieve a gift from xvx shop instead of the keyboard? im just worried i really wanted the womier.** A: The product you commented on is a Womier SK87 keyboard with pudding keycaps. It is a mechanical keyboard of the Wmier brand. **Q: How do you take a screenshot with this keyboard on Mac? (Usually it's shift + command + 4 on the Apple magic keyboard)** A: Command (ctrl) in macOS system corresponds to win key in Windows system so：Shift+Win+4 **Q: would halo switches be compatible with this?** A: Womeir mechanical keyboard can be replaced by 3-pin or 5-pin mechanical switches. If the would halo switches are such switches, they can be used on Womier mechanical keyboard. **Q: Which switch makes the "thocky" noise?** A: If you like the feeling of typewriter feel and obvious click, you can choose the blue switch. I believe you will like the feel and sound of the blue switch. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Top Quality & Aesthetic Design *by J***N on 21 March 2024* If you are interested in transitioning from an old school to mechanical keyboard, want something with an absolutely sick looking design, is simple to use, and doesn't have insanely loud key press noises, this is definitely a top option!
