**Q: Can I make a tarte tatin in this?**
A: This was a Christmas present  -  I have no knowledge of its possible uses.

**Q: can the pie dish go directly frim freezer to oven?**
A: The answer is YES it can go from the freezer to the over directly.  Since you are most likely reheating or cooking a grenade item, I usually place the pie dish on the lower rack and than turn on the oven.  A note, don't start your cooking timer until the oven reaches full temperature.  I also use a meat thermometer to make sure it is heated clear through when working from frozen.  I hope this helps.

**Q: Where are these made ?**
A: Staub is thought to be from France, this pie plate is made in China I believe.

**Q: Why is blue less expensive than the white?**
A: The blue dish is on sale.
