Switching off and on the Bluetooth re-enabled IR signals groom the TV and ended up fixing the power button issue for me. I can't replicate the issue to disable IR signal, but it's the second time resetting Bluetooth and turning the Bluetooth off and on fixed that power button issue for me. If your remote doesn't work with Bluetooth disabled, than that's a different issue. Still cannot update though. Update 12/15/24 My Sony X90CL just all of a sudden started receiving IR signal from this same TV remote since a couple of weeks ago. It still cannot be updated though. Everything else is good so far. I don't know why it worked now as I didn't do anything to the remote or the TV, but I wanted to update this review to let people know that it does end up working well for me. One is connected to an A95L and the other is connected to a Bravia 8. Both work all the menus as expected. Both light up as expected which is nice at night. Neither of the remotes will update which means periodically getting the message on the tv that there is a software update for the remotes. Both time out and fail to update. They have been paired and removed multiple times and had several new batteries installed to no resolution.
