The installation is incredibly simple, just plug it into the OBD port and connect the USB C cable to the dash cam. No complicated wiring or professional installation is required. The 12V–24V input and 5V/3A output make it versatile for different vehicles, and the low voltage protection provides extra peace of mind when using the 24 hour parking monitoring feature. I also really like the clean, non-invasive installation without having to access the fuse box.The build quality feels good, the cable is convenient, and the Type C connection makes it easy to use. The 18 month assurance is also reassuring.Overall, an excellent accessory for REDTIGER dash cams and a great option for anyone looking for an easy parking-mode power solution. Highly recommended! ### ⭐ Didn't work for me *by on Reviewed in Ireland 30 August 2025* After 10-15 minutes of driving it would turn off my dash cam [Viofo a229 plus] in my car [CHR 2024 PHEV]The dash cam works fine on the cigarette Lighter connection so that rules out issues with the dash cam or SD card. The length of the cable from the USB C connection to the voltage box was 75 inches, and from there 37 inches to the OBD connector. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great solution for anyone trying to Hardwire. *by on Reviewed in Canada 18 January 2026* I bought this hardwire kit as a way to power my VIOFO dash cam and it works flawlessly.Installation was incredibly easy and the hardwire kit itself came with ample wire length so it covered all the distance I needed plus more if I ever decide to buy a larger car. Even better was how the kit itself shows the voltage of the car, it provides a great baseline on what the best option would be for when it should cutoff the power draw. This specific part of the kit came with a sticky pad so that you can mount it on a plastic trim if needed. ## Frequently Bought Together - REDTIGER Dash Cam OBD Hardwire Kit Power Cable Type USB C Port,10FT 12V-24V to 5V,for Dash Camera, Low Voltage Protection - REDTIGER Dash Cam Front Rear, 4K/2.5K Full HD Dash Camera for Cars, Included 32GB Card, Built-in Wi-Fi GPS, 3.16” IPS Screen, Night Vision, 170°Wide Angle, WDR, 24H Parking Mode(F7NP) - SanDisk 256GB High Endurance Video microSDXC Card with Adapter for Dash Cam and Home Monitoring systems - C10, U3, V30, 4K UHD, Micro SD Card - SDSQQNR-256G-GN6IA --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/656917568-redtiger-dash-cam-obd-hardwire-kit-power-cable-type-usb](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/656917568-redtiger-dash-cam-obd-hardwire-kit-power-cable-type-usb) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
