My son is a tad overweight, he’s 10 and weighs around 100 pounds. He’s a little short too so I have real trouble finding pants that fit the waist but aren’t super long. These are PERFECT! The elastic waist is comfortable and they stay put ( I bought an 18). The length would be a little long but with the elastic ankles it’s totally fine. They aren’t extremely thick but not too thin either. May not be great for deep winter in super cold but average climates they’re fine. He loves them and that’s all that matters.
