A movie with soul and old fashioned beauty. - This dvd came in perfect condition and was played its first day home. It was a bit fuzzy,but likely,the year it was filmed,had plenty to do with how the film was produced...so it was fine for its day and time. Also I wondered if it was restored from an original or several copies perhaps. Still it was a beautiful film to watch. Very well written and acted by "serious normal" people. I was so surprised as it didn't seem to go over the top at all and everyone acted their parts without pushing to comply with the director it seemed....as it flowed so well from scene to scene. A movie with true emotion and heart should be veiwed by all ages and families! Bravo to the courage of those creating this movie and all the actors. I'm so glad I lived long enough to see this gental loving movie full of danger and innocent beauty. This movie has a soul and spirit that soars above any negative criticism directed at it. I hope many others get a chance to see this as I was fortunate to find it and watch.
