It is glossy and looks great on our wall. My only complaint is that it wrongly labels the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America. I fixed it with a permanent marker, but I was not happy that I had to do so. So, we bought this and put it up in our hallway near our TV viewing location. It's been quite a surprise to see the relationships between the various factions and conflicts and border disputes. It's helpful to see where the Suez Canal is and how important it is to commerce. Surprisingly on the map, it clearly shows why we should adopt Greenland. It's closer than I thought and just as strategic as we have been told. In any event we are quite pleased for a chance to reacquaint ourselves' with our world.Order one to find all those new (to me) countries.
