It's easy to release and swing around to the front, I love using it when I go do photo shoots, but drawing it back up has proven to be an issue. About 80% of the time it won't reset when pulled back into the normal position. Also, I was unimpressed with the overall quality of the backpack. After only a couple months the zippers began to fray/fall apart and the magnet which holds the release trigger to the strap just fell off. I have a 75-300mm, a kit lense abs one prime lens. And a Canon 6D. That's it. Even these don't fit. On top of that, the sling mechanism needs far too much efforts to be of any use with just the weight of the kit above and a laptop. The hooks keep hooking everywhere while pulling the bag back up.
