Or only on the sides?** A: Yes. I use it every week. I find it’s best to hand wash not to put in the dishwasher. Also I use it without strainer for one pot meals. **Q: Can i use it as a fryer?** A: I can not see why you could not use it as a fryer. **Q: Can it be used for cooking rice** A: I have not used it for rice but I don’t see why not.
