Pros - It doesn’t exactly get too into detail about the solutions, but some explanation is there. - It reminds you of some physics and algebra logic, and gives challenging questions Cons -The questions are extremely long-form, which is the complete opposite of the actual FE exam questions. - A lot of the time, some calculations are straight up wrong in their explanation. For example, if the question was to find the homogeneous solution of x^2(dy/dx)^2 + 3dy/dx + 3y = x^2 (question 6), it would assume x^2 is 0, taking the form (dy/dx)^2 + a(dy/dx) + by = 0, which is extremely incorrect and dangerous to teach someone. - There is no room on any page for any notes or equations, easily could’ve just been a pdf file. - The questions are not in correct format, and are just written out like they were typed up in Google Docs. This makes the questions and solutions extremely hard to interpret (i.e. question 7, augmented matrix) I honestly think this book was written by a lazy author using AI, instead of actually giving material that may help students get qualified in a field they want to get into. If you don’t know material that is covered in this book, the book does not help. If you do, the book says you’re wrong. Spend the extra money and get a book that actually helps, this book will hurt you, just to save a few bucks.
