Just transfered the key and circuit board from the original to the new one and it is working great for me. I did basically render the original unusable by removing the key. I used the key and key button from the original because I did not want to take the key blade off the holder. It took me a bit of time to figure out how to put it together so the spring would make the key flip out. If you are not good at seeing and figuring out how something works without directions, I wound not buy this.
