Wiseman covers pretty much everything you would need to know if you are out in the middle of nowhere (for whatever reason). 1. Essentials (the kit you need, how to find water, how to face disaster, etc) 2. Make Camp (where and how to build a shelter. make a fire, use animal skins, tie knots, etc) 3. Extreme climates (Arctic, Tropical, Desert, Sea) 4. Food: Foraging (choosing the most nutritious foods, what plants to avoid, etc) 5. Food:hunting (how to hunt or trap an animal, what parts are edible, how to fish, etc) 6. First aid (a very detailed part of the book covering everything you could ever need to know on the subject). 7. Accidents and Disasters: natural and man-made (how to survive any type of accident, from a car crash to a nuclear explosion!) 8.
