I have a thick mattress because of the Eurotop (the pillow top is under the ticking). As soon as they arrived, I put them in the wash. They feel like silk! And the best part is, they didn't shrink! I purposely chose a deeper pocket than I needed (23" instead of 21 or 22") to account for the inevitable shrinking, but was pleasantly surprised they did not. They fit well because of the elastic all the way around. The top sheet is a generous size: it goes to the top of the mattress, but still has plenty to tuck under at the bottom, and a full hospital corner on each side. I hate getting short-changed with top sheets, and this set did not do that. I hope they hold up well, but at this price, if I have to buy a set every year, it's ok with me. I am planning on purchasing another set for our bed in another color, as well as a set for each of my two guest rooms.
