He's really skinny so while it was slightly large on him, I wouldn't say it was an unexpected fit. Came promptly with no flaws, and he's worn and washed (but never put in the dryer) several times with no pilling or other issues. It's a perfect item to protect from sun damage if you're spending the day at the beach, but be warned that a black rash guard can get quite hot if you aren't in the water a lot. Because my brother is skinny and constantly getting "blue lipped" from the water, the extra warmth is great for him. It dries very quickly because of the material, but for that same reason is not a very thick weave. The black one I got for my brother isn't see-through by any means, but you can definitely tell when he's cold, if you catch my drift.
