The velcro can be very annoying to deal with, which is why I gave it 4 stars. I recommend this hip pouch if you want a small bag for a quick cosplay. If there are any sewing aficionados out there, I suggest rigging a button system on the bag versus keeping the velcro. The belt loop could probably be raised a tad as well.
