These last us about a month or 6 weeks each, depending on how much coffee we make. For people who have less it probably will last longer. We have at least 2-4 cups a day as a family. I buy the double pack because it saves us a little money, and of course we are going to be prepared for the next time the machine tells us it needs a new filter. Make sure you follow the directions so there aren’t any issues with the air inside the filter. It hasn’t caused any problems for us, but if I don’t shake it and let it sit in water long enough to get rid of air bubbles I can tell it doesn’t transition as smoothly.

A: Yes, it does. It fits all the super automatic Gaggia machines.

**Q: What does it filter? it could be an empty cartridge given 5 stars? filter certifications?**
A: Mostly filters for taste & order. Filters chlorine, larger particulates and has anti-scale properties.

A: Depends on how much you use the machine. Machine will calculate the amount of water and schedule a change based on that. If the machine does not indicate when, We would recommend every 2-4 months.

**Q: Is it compatible for Gaggia Classic Pro?**
A: I would avoid this item.  Advertised as compatible but it is certainly not.  It is too tall, the lid would not close.  Fraudulent advertising through Amazon.
