There's a circular ridge underneath the bottom plate for the base stand to sit inside of, but it was glued partly inside this and partly on top of the ridge so the 3 tier stand sat very wonkily. It was so disappointing as it is an otherwise really beautiful design and seemed like such a careless and easily avoidable mistake to make.My mum received her replacement stand just yesterday, two and a half weeks later. The replacement is apparently perfectly straight, so it's just a bit of a hit or miss gamble with this company it seems. Great shame as I'd quite like one of these myself but am not at all inclined to go through the hassle of returning goods again! ### ⭐ Smashed *by G***O on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 December 2013* I chose this as an extra Christmas gift for my wife as we go out for afternoon tea regularly so thought it would be a novelty for me to make it for her and see how i match up to "the pros".It was delivered and instantly put away for Christmas until i brought it out to wrap on Christmas Eve and of course i was very careful with it.My wife opened it on Christmas morning only to find the base plate smashed to pieces!! ... To make matters worse, even if it wasnt broken i would have sent it back anyway as although the product actually looks very nice (no complaints there!) the little plynth the bottom plate rests on was not even at the centre of the plate as it looked as though someone had previously broken it off and simply glued it back on ... but squint!!Good product ... but unsure who's to blame for my experience as it was a Christmas let-down. :( ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy and fit for purpose *by R***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 August 2013* It is what it is. A cake stand and works well. My only comment is it could have been a little more delicately finished, I think. The lace like cut outs are a little on the roughly shaped side, but once your cakes are on it nobody else will notice. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/67116526-vintage-cream-design-3-tier-cake-stand-display-holder](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/67116526-vintage-cream-design-3-tier-cake-stand-display-holder) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
