I applied the product two months ago to about half of my tub, where it was needed. The small tube that I bought likely would have completed the tub, but it was not necessary. I am hoping that the lid it came with prevents it from drying out over time. (Actually, I could probably apply it now to other areas in need, such as around the window to better seal cracks.) The caulk has held up well against frequent contact with water (shower / tub). There are no visible signs of wear. When I need caulk again, I will definitely want to look for and purchase this product again. As long as you clean up before it dries, it is not terribly difficult to clean off. It is a bit more difficult to clean than poorer quality caulk, but soap and warm water does do the trick. Great stuff! And not terribly expensive, given the quality and expected sustainable quality. We recommend using the 10.1 oz tube for your tub to be sure you have enough. One 10.1 ounce tube is enough to caulk two bathtubs and one sink. The squeeze tube is only 2.8 oz.. **Q: Is this low modulus silocone?** A: It worked well in my bathroom. My application does not require expansion. Think sink and shower. **Q: Can this be used on a hairline crack in the bottom of a bathtub?** A: You shouldn't even be using that tub if it has a hair line crack. The tub needs to be replaced. I'm assuming that the tub in fiberglass. It has probably developed a hair line crack because it was not installed properly to begin with. The area beneath the tub should be filled with spray foam insulation to provide support for the tub. Some builders even use sand, though I would not recommend that. I speak from first hand experience. We had purchased a house that was about 15 years old. There was a shower and whirlpool in the master bath and a fiberglass tub in the hall bath. My husband gets up really early, so he would shower in the hall bath to avoid waking me. He a big guy, not obese by any means, just a big guy...about 200 lbs. He was shower one morning and the bottom of the tub just gave way and he was standing about 4 " lower. The builder hadn't put anything under the tub for support. I guess the tub had probably been used previously for bathing children. It was a mess! I bought them all. It dries fast so work fast at least if you are in the south. Around the tube I noticed that 4 months after a few pieces come out just cleaning with a sponge...I do not like it.
