The Emecole Metro 121 Premium Fast Cure Epoxy included inside this 10 ft. Kit is packaged in single tube universal cartridges (8 oz cartridge), which can be injected using just a standard caulk gun. No special advanced caulking gun is necessary for injecting single tube universal cartridges. The same epoxy material in our 30 ft. Kit is packaged in dual cartridge tube sets. The tube sets are a larger size (22 oz. total), and will not fit a standard caulk gun. That is why the dual cartridge manual dispensing gun is required for injecting dual cartridge packaged epoxy. The 10 ft. Kit with the universal cartridges is ideal for anyone new to the concrete crack injection process. The 30 ft. Kit with the dual dispensing gun is more likely to be used by anyone who is regularly repairing concrete cracks (i.e. a basement waterproofing contractor, a handyman, etc.). The dual cartridge dispensing gun makes the dispensing of material a bit easier when doing it on a regular basis. For a simple one-time repair, any one would be perfectly fine using just the 10 ft. If the repair can only be completed at a time when the crack is actively leaking water, a workaround would be the use of a hair dryer. If the surface of the concrete can stay dry for approximately two hours, then the surface seal should cure without problem, allowing for injection of the Emecole 102 Polyurethane afterwards.
