I purchased two 6' cedar trees 7 years ago and they get hot sun on our 2nd floor veranda year round here in southeast PA. They have not faded but oddly, the pine needle pop-on pieces on one of the trees have gotten brittle and have started to break while the other tree is doing just fine, even though they both get the same amount of intense sun (even though I purchased both trees from the same company at the same time) . I do, by the way, spray both trees periodically with a UV protectant for plastic like Marine 303 for outdoor fabric and plastics. See video. **Q: What is the diameter of the pot that these arrive in?** A: The pots are 8" in diameter and are too light for outdoor use. I placed them into larger urns and anchored/filled in with small river rocks/stones.
