Review: A Game-Changer for Homemade Dressings! - I recently purchased the OXO Good Grips Salad Dressing Shaker, and I can confidently say it's made a huge difference in my kitchen! This simple yet brilliant tool has quickly become one of my favorites, earning a solid 5-star rating. Before this, I was using jars or bowls, which often led to messy spills or poorly emulsified dressings. The OXO shaker solves all of those problems! The design is incredibly smart: the wide opening makes it easy to add ingredients, and the tight-sealing lid ensures absolutely no leaks when shaking. The non-slip grip on the body is comfortable and secure, even with oily hands. It's also surprisingly lightweight, making it a pleasure to use and handle. What truly stands out is how effortlessly it emulsifies dressings. A few quick shakes, and my vinaigrettes are perfectly blended and creamy. The pour spout is precise and clean, allowing me to drizzle dressing exactly where I want it without drips. The overall functionality is flawless, making dressing preparation a joy. It's also super convenient for storing leftover dressing in the fridge. The measurements on the side are a thoughtful touch, making it easy to follow recipes or create your own concoctions. Cleanup is a breeze too, as it's dishwasher safe. The good durability of the materials ensures it will stand up to regular use for years to come. If you love making your own salad dressings (or even just mixing marinades!), the OXO Good Grips Salad Dressing Shaker is an absolute must-have. It's durable, easy to use, and makes the process so much more enjoyable and mess-free. Highly, highly recommend!
Review: Works well and dressing stores in the container. - A few yummy looking salad dressing recipes inspired me to purchase this shaker. It has been used to much in the past year it is starting to look warn (but is holding up very nicely!) It has clearly marked measurements for pouring ingredients in directly. The top closes and is easily held down with a thumb or finger for vigorous shaking. Another option is to use an immersion blender. Mine fits tightly, but works in this, so I can mix thicker ingredients like avocado. I have had no problems with leaking. If I unscrew the top for anything while there is something inside, I wipe around the opening of the jar and also around the inside of the lid to be sure they are clean. Then I put the top back on. The top should screw on comfortably and completely. If not, the threads may not be lined up properly. Unscrew it and turn it *backwards* a few times until you feel the threads "clear" eachother with a little click. Then reverse your direction without shifting the angle and it should go on smoothly and tightly. To clean I fill it with warm soapy water for a while and then close it and give it a few shakes - then pour out through the top to loosen up stuck-on dressing. After doing that a couple of times I put both pieces on the top rack of the dishwasher. It comes out clean with no residual salad-dressing smell.
