Review: Horrible Support. - Did not work from the first day I got it, and when I tried to reach out to Support, they told me there was nothing they could do for me. I asked them to send a replacement and they said no I just have to go to desertcart for the refund.
Review: Excellent Quality Recording for Outdoors, Not Good for Close-Up Shots - First of all, I must say that these glasses felt like a quality product from the moment I removed them from their packaging. They are thick enough to feel sturdy but not so thick that they are bulky or heavy. One review said that these glasses were bulkier than the photo, and that person must have received a different version of glasses than me because these looked exactly like the photo. The glasses I got were the mid-range 128 GB ones with blue lenses. I purchased additional lenses from the same manufacturer, including some clear lenses. The lenses were good quality, especially for the price, and easily changeable. The glasses look good. I would wear them if they didn't have any smart features because they are stylish. They came with a nice and sturdy hard protective carrying case, manual, cleaning cloth, and cable. The cable is a USB-C to USB-A cable that also comes with a USB-A to USB-C adapter for you to be able to connect from the glasses' USB-C port straight to another USB-C port. I've read reviews stating that a straight USB-C to USB-C cable does not work with these, but I did not test that. The 4k video looked clear. I could see every blade of grass on my lawn, which is one of the first things I noticed when video technology advanced into high definition. Some things to keep in mind: Our eyes absorb lots of movement so that we can see clearly and have a stable image, even when walking. These glasses do not have an image or video stabilizer, so the video being recorded will appear rougher than it seems when you're in the moment and recording. So, you kind of have to act like the Terminator, moving your head slowly back and forth to provide a stable viewing experience. Your head and body are your tripod. The camera is at the top-center of the frames, above one's nose, on the bridge of frames. I found out that if you want something that is a bit closer to be more focused and at the center of the screen, you have to hold it above where your eyes are because the camera is above your eyes. However, these glasses are not made for close-up recording. My intended purpose for these glasses was to open packs of sports cards on camera while making it easy on my back by providing the ability to record while sitting instead of standing. Unfortunately, these glasses do not focus on close objects well enough to show the statistics on the backs of the cards clearly. In fact, if you want to record indoors at all, you need to have good lighting with these glasses otherwise the video may look fuzzy. With insufficient lighting, I was unable to make out even the athlete's name on the front of the cards, let alone any fine print on the back. In one of my photos, you can see that there are a number of baseball card packages in the background that are clearer than the two cards I am holding right in front of the glasses and there is pretty good lighting. There's a video I uploaded where I go outside and read the back of a baseball card or fine print on packaging. My apologies for the quick movements as I wasn't intending to use this video for a review, but merely to see if I can get the glasses to focus in on fine print in the sunlight to see if I can gain a similar effect by properly setting up lighting indoors. But the glasses do not focus on the card nor the fine print from the box. Instead, you can see my dog and the bricks on my house very clearly behind the card, yet the fine print on the card is blurry. It would be cool to be able to manually focus with these, but it's not an option. And FYI, I attempted recording with different resolutions and got similar results, but the video is shot in 4k. The glasses don't connect to any display in real-time, so you have to learn how to use the glasses by recording, then plugging them into your computer to check the recording, then unplugging them to go record video again, then returning to the computer to check the new video. It can be an annoying process. Don't buy these glasses thinking that you'll be able to rig up a live stream because the glasses don't transmit live video-- they simply have a storage device on them. Windows 11 will not detect your glasses as a camera. It will detect them as a thumb drive. There is no wireless connectivity with these glasses either, so connectivity is via cable or nothing. Overall, I think I would really love these glasses for recording while driving in case there's an accident or recording nature (like the product is actually marketed to do). I had problems because I attempted to use these glasses for a purpose other than what they were intended. They were intended to be worn while you are outside in the sun and they work very well for that purpose. They were not intended to be worn indoors while opening up packaging and displaying fine print and they do not work well for that. But you can see in my outdoor video that it records pretty clearly outside, just not up close. These glasses are of excellent quality and seem to be durable. They don't feel flimsy whatsoever. I think they are cool, not only in appearance but in ability. I think that they are probably underpriced and you're getting a really good deal with them. They are priced like a really good pair of sunglasses and I got the impression that they were a really good pair of sunglasses that come with video, audio, and photo capabilities. I think a good pair of Oakleys would cost around the same or more and they don't do anything special except look good. So I think these glasses are a really good value for your money. Ultimately, I returned both the glasses and the extra lenses I purchased. I considered keeping them because they are cool but unfortunately, I was purchasing these as a business expense and my business cannot use them. But because the glasses were such excellent quality, I feel bad for returning them because I purchased them for a purpose for which they were not intended. This is the first positive review I've ever done on a product I returned and it may be the last. If I'm in the market for something like this in the future as a personal shopper, or specifically for recording outdoor videos, I will check out OhO first because they are underpriced for the quality they produce.
