De uitgang zit aan de zijkant, wat het lastig maakt om het filament direct via een Bowden-tube naar de 3D-printer te voeren. Dit ongemak heeft ertoe geleid dat de droger zelfs een keer van mijn kast is gevallen. Ik had liever gezien dat je het filament aan de voorkant kon invoeren en via de bovenkant kon voeren. Dit zou het gebruik veel eenvoudiger maken. Ich kann den Trockner neben dem Drucker aufstellen, der Filament-Auslass am oberen Ende lässt sich schön zum Drucker führen. So kann ich den Drucker und den Trockner bequem bedienen. Vor allem kann ich so das Filament trocknen während ich drucke. Die Einstellung des Typs und der Trocknungszeit ist einfach, es bringt die eingelegte Filamentrolle rasch auf Temperatur. Wie genau die Anzeige wirklich ist, habe ich aber nicht ausprobiert. Vor allem die Luftfeuchteanzeige ist wohl nicht so genau, zeigt aber zumindest, wie sie über die Zeit abnimmt. Letztendlich hat man dann irgendwann einen (empirischen) Wert, den man als angemessen annehmen kann und bei dem man die erwarteten Druckresultate sieht. Das reicht mir schon. Wie viel das absolut genau ist, spielt dann ja auch keine Rolle, wenn man nichts zum Vergleichen hat. Auch wenn ich beim PLA Druckergebnis selbst nicht zu gravierende Unterschiede gesehen habe (PLA ist ja sehr einfach zu nutzen), das getrocknete Filament ist definitiv weniger brüchig, wenn ich mal die Farbe tauschen will. Da hatte ich vorher immer wieder mal Probleme, abgebrochene Reste aus den Schläuchen zu bekommen, das ist seit dem nicht mehr passiert. Ich habe jetzt auch mit anderen Filamenttypen begonnen, die auch Trocknung vorschreiben. Da würde ich es gar nicht erst ohne Trockner probieren. Ich möchte ev. bald mal auf einen Bambu H2D o.ä. umstellen, da kann ich den Trockner auch gleich für einen Single-Filamentfeed weiterverwenden, während ich dann am zweiten Anschluss einen Multifeed installieren werde. War also auf jeden Fall eine dauerhafte Investition. Man kann das Gerät natürlich auch auch stand-alone verwenden. Der einzige, kleinere Kritikpunkt ist das Touch-Display. Da habe ich immer etwas Angst beim Draufdrücken, weil man das LCD dahinter auch etwas verformt. Da muss ich immer aufpassen, nicht zu fest zu drücken, damit garantiert nichts kaputt geht.
