**Q: Is this the same as fluidmaster 400a? the float on mine says fluidmaster 400.**
A: Yes.  The Pentair T29 and the Poolmiser RP-402 and the fluidmaster 400a are all the same item.  The problem all of us are having is that none of these fill valves have a plugged fill nipple.  What I have to do is buy tubing with a clip to block the top water fill so I can force the water through the bottom fill.

**Q: What size female pipe will is fit? 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch?**
A: 3/4" I believe.. definitely not 1/2"

**Q: I would suggest that if you look on the float of your "poolmiser", you will see that is says fluidmaster model 400. what do you think about that?**
A: Probably

**Q: is this item durable**
A: Can't say. Only had it for 2 months
