**Q: will it slice bread**
A: Yes, I remember I bought once a fresh 1kg white bloomer bread and my boyfriend was able to cut nice slices with it. Just make sure it is properly sharpen, I noticed it does not cut very well after a while, but maybe because I use it all the time (I have no other big knives than this one)
