Terrible! would not recommend this to any dog owner.
I have been using a different product to clean my dogs eyes for the past few years, the last bottle was coming to an end, so I decided to have a look about and see if there was anything different to try. There was nothing wrong with my last product, it did the trick and kept his eyes nice and clean, and could be used around his eyes to clean tear stains and gunk, and could also be used in the eyes to keep them fresh and clear, I guess I just thought I would see if I was missing out on anything better. So, I decided to purchase this Bogar eye cleaner because it said that it was safe for around the eyes and also in the eyes, whereas many eye cleaners state that they are purely for around the eyes and you must not get it into the eyes.The first time I used this new product, my little dog nearly ran a mile. He was absolutely not happy about having this near him at all (he has always been fine about having his eyes cleaned regularly). I had to pop some in his eyes to flush them out and he went berserk, not him at all. There was no way I was going to get to do the second eye with that product. I couldn;t even get to clean his second eye with the old product as he was too upset. I tried cleaning his eyes the next day with the old product and he has now been completely put off having his eyes cleaned. I am really upset about this. I decided to try a drop of the Bogar in my own eye, how bad could it be? an eye is an eye???? I popped one drop of it in my eye and the sting was terrible. I couldn;t see and my eye became very red and sore and half closed for the next 24 hours, it would not stop stinging. I was constantly having to bathe it with sterile water, and it took a good couple of days before it stopped stinging and a little bit longer before it went back to a normal white instead or being red and bloodshot...What the hell is in this product? it has now made my dog very scatty about having his eyes cleaned, just after one session on one eye. If it stung my eye so much with just one drop, I dread to think how much pain and discomfort my little dog was in after I used it to clean his eye and flush it out.I most certainly will not be using this stuff again, I would throw it out but I am scared it would get into the wrong hands, and I can't drain it down the sink. Disgusting and dangerous, and not a happy customer... I would not recommend this to anybody for their dogs.... Needless to say I have purchased another bottle of my old faithful product. Just hope my dog is not scared of eye cleaning for the rest of his life now..

don't work for long
Been using weekly since November 2015 now Jan 2016 and had to stop using it simply is not good enough. I was using it on my Cavaliers and did seem to work then I noticed the eye gunk was getting harder to remove and wasn't breaking down the build up like a gel I used previously did. I've had to change to something else has the eyes were starting to smell and not getting the job done even when used daily real shame.

Guter Reiniger
Mein Spitz hatte bisher immer große Probleme mit tränenden und juckenden Augen. Wir haben alle möglichen Ursachen in einer Augenklinik abklären lassen und nichts gefunden. Das Tränen ist demnach ein kosmetisches Problem.Ich reinige die Augen 2 Mal am Tag mit Wasser, abends mit dem bogacare Augenreiniger und entferne auch die Krusten auf Nase, Leftzen und rund um die Augen mit einem Staubkamm, da diese Bakterien beherbergen (können), die das Auge reizen.Nach inzwischen 6 Wochen werden die Tränenflecken blasser, sind aber noch vorhanden. Das Tränen und die gereizten Augen sind aber auf jeden Fall besser geworden. Mein Hund kneift das Auge nicht mehr zusammen und juckt sich auch nicht mehr. Inzwischen hat sich auch das Tränen weitestgehend gegeben. Deshalb bin ich zwar immer noch über sie gute Wirkweise erstaunt aber gleichzeitig sehr zufrieden. Der Augenreiniger hat sich sehr positiv auf das Wohlbefinden meines Hundes ausgewirkt. (Mit dem kosmetischen Aspekt kann ich daher gut leben.)Postitiv:- scheint nicht zu brennen- scheint den Juckreiz zu lindern- mindert den Tränenfluss- ist recht ergiebig- Preis/Leistung ok- die Tränenflecken werden blasser- verhindert das Entstehen neuer Tränenflecken und KrustenNegativ:- schäumt am Auge (ich weiß nicht, ob das gut ist...)- Tränenflecken gehen nicht völlig weg und müssen herauswachsen- rötliche Farbe wird verteilt- kohlesäurehaltiges Mineralwasser/abgekochtes warmes Wasser und Wattepad erfüllt den gleichen Zweck, sind aber preiswerter.Da es jedoch Ergebnisse gibt und diese zudem Positiv sind (und überwiegen) kann ich mich nicht beklagen.

Hilft leider nicht
Meine Malteserhündin hat sehr mit braunen Tränenflecken zu kämpfen.Ich hatte Hoffnung in dieses Produkt gesetzt nachdem ich Augenärztlich alles hab abklären lassen.Leider raus geworfenes Geld.Nach wochenlanger Behandlung leider noch kein Erfolg zu sehen.Abgekochtes Wasser ist sparsamer und erzielt den selben Erfolg.Nicht zu empfehlen.!

Endlich der richtige Augenreiniger :-)
Ich benutze diesen Reiniger seit ca. einem Dreivierteljahr für meine Malteserhündin, die ohne spezielle Augenpflege Verkrustungen und Tränenspuren im Fell unter den Augen hat. Vor Beginn der Fellpflege gebe ich ein paar Tropfen auf evtl. Verschmutzungen und alle paar Tage auch ein paar Tropfen ins Auge. Wenn ich sie dann fertig gebürstet habe, entferne ich die aufgeweichten Verschmutzungen mit einem weichen, fusselfreien Lappen. Sie verträgt die Pflege einwandfrei, ihre Augen sind nicht mehr gerötet und das Fell sieht gepflegt aus. Ich kann den Reiniger nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
