Review: Good quality and sturdy - This failed to arrive from desertcart. But I did get one from elsewhere so may as well feedback on it. Very well made case and plenty of space. The Micro-ITX board in this case looks tiny in comparison to how much space there is available! They are standard fan so I swapped them out for 4x PWM fans so it's nice and quiet. Working very well. Review: Good but needs better drive cage arrangements - Good ventilation fans, but the case is very tight in space and arrangement. The 3.5 HDD cage is pressing on the front panel cables and I had to remove it. The two other smaller cages are good for SSD drives. Any 3.5 HDD will have to be placed on top because it would touch the motherboard otherwise. ## Features - M/B size: Micro-ATX 9.6 x 9.6 / mini-itx 6.7 x 6.7 - Supports standard ATX power supply with any fan type (120mm or 80mm both OK) - Internal Bays: 9x3.5" Drive Bays or 6x3.5"+3x2.5" - Material: Front Bezel+ handle Aluminum; Main Chassis- Zinc-Coated Steel - 2 x front access USB 3.0 (compatible with USB2.0) - case type: rack mount - 2U rackmount chassis depth 450mm (not includel handel) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CH3JXKZF | | Antenna Location | Business | | Brand | rackchoice | | Brand Name | rackchoice | | Case Type | Tower | | Case type | Tower | | Colour | Black | | Compatible Devices | Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX, ATX PSU, 3.5" and 2.5" drives, standard expansion cards, standard cooling systems | | Cooling Method | Air | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 92 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Aluminum, Zinc-Coated Steel | | Fan Size | 80 Millimetres | | Hard Disk Form Factor | 3.5 Inches | | Internal Bays Quantity | 9 | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 40D x 48.3W x 8.9H centimetres | | Item Weight | 15.4 Pounds | | Manufacturer | rackchoice | | Material | Aluminum , Zinc-Coated Steel | | Model Name | Rackchoice | | Motherboard compatibility | Micro ATX | | Number of Fans | 8 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | top or side cooling | | Power Supply Mounting Type | Rear Mount | | Recommended uses for product | Business | | Supported Motherboard | Micro ATX | | Total Expansion Slots Quantity | 5 | | Total USB 2.0 Ports | 2 | | Total USB 3.0 Ports | 2 | | Total USB Ports | 2 | | UPC | 787996912073 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** rackchoice - **Case type:** Tower - **Colour:** Black - **Cooling method:** Air - **Fan size:** 80 Millimetres - **Material:** Aluminum, Zinc-Coated Steel - **Model name:** Rackchoice - **Motherboard compatibility:** Micro ATX - **Power supply mounting type:** Rear Mount - **Recommended uses for product:** Business ## Images ![RackChoice MicroATX/Mini-ITX Server Box 2U Rackmount Server Chassis max 7x3.... - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61sdR8sXyVL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality and sturdy *by D***C on 16 December 2025* This failed to arrive from Amazon. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good but needs better drive cage arrangements *by F***I on 16 April 2026* Good ventilation fans, but the case is very tight in space and arrangement. The 3.5 HDD cage is pressing on the front panel cables and I had to remove it. The two other smaller cages are good for SSD drives. Any 3.5 HDD will have to be placed on top because it would touch the motherboard otherwise. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best 2U case for the money.. Period. Search is over. *by B***R on 9 August 2025* My new ESXI Edge build is complete! First time to build a 2U Server Chassis, I primarily build 4U Servers, but this was one of my favorite builds so far. I want to tell you a few things what not to do or buy. #1. Don't buy the Noctua NH-L12Sx77 cpu cooler, it's too high; about 7mm too high. I had to return it and get the Noctua NH-L12S instead. It is the perfect CPU cooler for this case. #2. Do not use a non-modular PSU. I originally was going to re-use a Corsair PSU I had laying around; but this case doesn't have a lot of room. The less the better. #3. Upgrade your case fans immediately. Also, pull out the mesh air filter, it causes less optimal air flow. This case is solid and the quality close to Silverstone, which is my go to with server chassis builds. It's not flimsy and comes with all the screws and even NVME screws you're going to need for a build. I thought that was a nice touch. #4. If you don't need the smaller HD brackets, pull them out and use the screw mounting holes for cable management. drill a small hole through a velco strip and secure it to the case. Less clutter = better air flow. I'm using this for a ESXI 7 host, with my Router/Firewall as a VM, and then Windows 2022 Server as a VM, which is acting as a DHCP Server, DNS, NFS Filer Server (NAS like), and some other small work tasks I need from my home lab. I'm extremely happy with this build so far. With the parts list below; this is running smooth and quiet. It looks great from the front too.
