If the Mini has an identical display actually connected, then I can get 1920x1200 on the controlling screen, and this is good. The best choice with the emulator plugged in to the Mini is a setting in the System Preferences>Displays corresponding to the 'Default for display', which is the same as '1080p' if selected manually. So, there is a mismatch between my controlling screen shape of 16:10 and the screen shape offered by the emulator, which is 16:9, leaving black bars on top and bottom of the screen. Holding down the 'option' key while choosing 'Scaled' in Displays preferences on the target machine does offer up some other resolutions, but not 1920x1200: 1600x1200 is too narrow in width, and the next size of 2560x1600 is 16:10 but results in small icons and type. For a Mini, the most practical solution is 1080p (1920x1080), but you can get that with the same company's cheaper non-4K emulator. Too bad. **Q: This is great for a colo'd Mini.
