Marshalls Creek Spices stock over 150 different varieties. All packed weekly, unlike what you buy in the store. The stores carry spices that are packed somewhere, then shipped and stored somewhere else, and then months later, end up on your stores shelf. Where it may sit for another few weeks. For freshness, quality and economy, Marshalls Creek Spices can't be beat. Review: Between retail and bulk wholesale, this is just right. - If you prowl the spice aisles of most grocery stores, you will find spices sold in glass bottles in quantities of something less than two ounces. Although this works fine for some exotic spices like saffron, this isn’t the case for others like turmeric. If your needs are industrial then you will likely favor 25 pound sacks which sell for around $6 a pound. But if you occupy the use curve which resides below 25 pounds, but above 2 ounces, then Marshalls Creek is a worthy candidate. Shipping is the same if you purchase one or thirty units, so you have some control on that particular overhead. The packaging is minimal which further keeps costs lower. There’s nothing wrong with the jar, it is simply made of thin walled plastic, with a single label, screw on lid and shrink seal. This leaves half a pound of turmeric and it appears and smells to be high quality and fresh. The paradox of purchasing more spice for less cost per pound is in the reduced fear of experimenting with the stuff, since it doesn’t come in a Faberge egg. I began to search for recipes which utilize turmeric and it became a staple spice as an end result. If it doesn’t get used more, then you can fall back on turmeric powder’s shelf life being several years, as a way to contain the angst associated with the unknown. If you’re an old hat at using turmeric, then you should be happy with this product and price point with fast delivery. If you still suffer from quantity anxiety then try jumping in with half a pound, there’s no need to be yellow. I heard from a nutritionist and doctor that tumeric was extremely healthy. They were right!!! Tumeric improved my health and it makes my food taste great. Only a pinch is needed in recipes. I like to add it to my eggs for breakfast and dinner rice. It makes a good seasoning for meat such fried chicken and pork chops. I love it unique taste. It was the best priced product of its kind on Amazon that I reviewed. It is package in large jars so you won't run out since only a little is needed to season food. This has become my favorite spice. If customers do a internet search on tumeric they will find that tumeric is extremely healthy for you. I highly recommend this product. ## Frequently Bought Together - TURMERIC POWDER FRESHLY PACKED IN LARGE JARS, 8 oz, spices, herbs, seasonings - Badia Ground Ginger Powder, 12 oz - Fresh, Aromatic, Ground Ginger Root - Badia Smoked Paprika, 16 oz - Rich, Smoky Flavor for Cooking, Grilling & Seasoning, All-Natural Spice --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pt/products/6835580-turmeric-powder-freshly-packed-in-large-jars-8-oz-spices](https://www.desertcart.pt/products/6835580-turmeric-powder-freshly-packed-in-large-jars-8-oz-spices) --- *Product available on Desertcart Portugal* *Store origin: PT* *Last updated: 2026-11-06*
