I paid extra for overnight shipping just to make sure it would get here in plenty of time for Father's Day. The delivery date changed several times, and it finally ended up getting here in the afternoon on Father's Day. The box was completely destroyed on one side, but luckily the cooler itself wasn't damaged. Amazon was very helpful and refunded me the $30 I paid for the faster shipping (after I spent nearly 45 minutes on chat with them), but if you need this by a specific date, I would recommend giving yourself several days' wiggle room. That being said, I love the cooler. It's huge, and there was still ice in it after almost 48 hours of being outside in 75-80 degree weather.
