I've had drops of blood that would have a vampire salivating and still got that Er 4 code. I also read that the batteries could be bad or going bad. After 5 failed test strips, I popped the batteries out and replaced them. The next reading worked. Just this morning I failed 5 more strips. I popped the batteries out again and it failed with Er 4. Either I have a bad batch of strips or the entire device, strips and all are garbage and need to be dropped off in one of Jersey's landfills. This requires finger sticks, and for that I need strips that are compatible with my talking glucometer. I got this meter because it talks, is accurate and it was cheap. I was having to argue with the Wall-Mart app and if they didn't have the strips in the warehouse, they wanted you to go get them from a store. I order online because I don't drive. So as with a lot of things, I checked amazon and there they were. I get them because they go with my meter, and they are relatively easy to use. Only a small amount of blood is needed and the meter beeps when you hit the spot. This is more of an ad for amazon than for the strips because they carry them and ordering is a worry free experience. And they send the correct ones, not like the box of the same brand but missing the word Premier so didn't fit.
