As a ballpoint, the ink flows well and doesn’t smudge a lot which works great as I’m a lefty. My only issue is that the erasers are not the same as the G2 refills, but they look like they’re decently priced and available.

Great pen. Love the pencil aspect to go along with the four ink colors, giving you a great and versatile all in one option instead of carrying five writing instruments, and the larger barrel size is a fantastic grip for larger or arthritic hands. As a ballpoint, the ink flows well and doesn’t smudge a lot which works great as I’m a lefty. It's a very cool writing tool. Four pens and a mechanical pencil with eraser all in one unit?! The engineering and quality are what you expect from Pilot, top-notch! The form factor takes some getting used to if you haven't used large barrel pens/pencils, but its quite comfortable to hold and write with. I can't do my little pen-spin trick with it as well as with smaller pens, but that's a personal nit.
