When I ordered it I immediately thought I should have bought a wooden one cheaper from like Trueswords or something, but once this arrived I realized I did good and made the right / best choice! The tip is mostly rounded. Still a tiny point, but nothing like the wooden ones. This just feels safer, lighter, solid and study, and looks and feels like a ultra light Katana if they existed. This looks like you can whack it against anything without breaking it. Great to use in the house. I gave this 5 stars for quality /value/ sturdiness / durability. My only regret is that I was scared to buy 2. I’d buy again. And I am not affiliated in any way. It’s quite a bit lighter a wooden Bokken, which makes this great for beginners as you can get a lot more swings in and hone in on your form. The guard comes with a nice rubber piece to secure it down, would be easy to replace with another guard even with something custom for cosplay.
